Looking for some places to visit in the Damariscotta Area? Here are some of my top picks for the region.
If you’re looking for an authentic Maine experience, where you can come as you are and enjoy a truly fresh seafood meal (along with other traditional and delicious bar-and-grill specialties), look no further than the DRG.
Our Pemaquid oysters are fresh from the river right outside our window. Our wine list is both award-winning and full of affordable favorites. If our servers haven’t learned your name, it’s only because you haven’t come for your second visit yet. Our cozy bar, nightly specials, and hearty portions will make this a place you want to visit again and again.
Come as you are. We’ve added a grown-up twist to our comfort food, but we’re real people here—no need to get fancy! We’ve got free parking.
When the opportunity presented itself for Annie and Crystal to open Barn Door Baking Company they couldn't have been more excited. Friends for over two decades, they have dreamed about running a successful business together. Enjoy picnicking and swimming at one of midcoast Maine's most popular day use parks located on beautiful Damariscotta Lake in Jefferson. Damariscotta Lake State Park is a short drive from the state's capitol, Augusta. A large freshwater lake with a sandy beach provide a relaxing location for beach goers. Of course a trip to a state park wouldn't be complete without a picnic lunch. Picnic tables and grills are available for this popular summertime activity. The group picnic shelter at this park is equipped with electricity, running water and a group grill. To reserve the group shelter during the summer months, contact the park staff. Visitors will want to arrive early on warm summer days as parking is limited.
